Mrs. Lewis' Class Long Ago Project

Mrs. Lewis' first grade just finished a Long Ago Unit.  Students learned about transportation, clothes, school life, homes and food of long ago.  They made covered wangons. They took a journey through the Cub Mountains, Red Hot Desert, Tall Green Valley and Great River Falls with the wagon and family and furniture in the wagon.  They set up house using a diaroma.  They made paper dolls and received a old fasion stocking with an orange, stick of candy and paper buzz saw toy that they decorated.  To wrap up the unit, they will travel to Greeneville, Tennessee to visit The Doak House on Tusculum College Campus.  They will experience Gingerbread stories and activities and learn of Christmas in the 1900.
